Support ACTS’ mission to help Anthem residents in need.
From 2021 to 2023, ACTS held this holiday event at the Outlets North Phoenix. This fundraiser features Christmas items that ACTS purchases as well as those donated by people and businesses in the community.
“All the money we raise from this event goes back into the Anthem community to help people in need,” said Sarah Omer, chair of the ACTS 2023 Festival of Trees. “Our clients get vetted through St. Vincent de Paul and we step forward and help them. We don’t pay individuals directly, but we’ll pay APS or the mortgage company.”
To open the festivities, a dinner and silent auction are hosted by ACTS. More than 270 people attended the 2023 event. Available for purchase are more than 50 decorated trees of all different sizes, as well as wreaths, children’s items, gift baskets, and wine.
One of the trees is a restaurant tree, which has gift cards from restaurants in the area. Another is the lottery tree, which is adorned with $250-worth of lottery tickets. Last year, Bearizona donated a beautiful tree with tickets to its wildlife park in Williams.
