About ACTS

Anthem Cares Through Service (ACTS) was founded in 2009 to provide short-term support to Anthem neighbors experiencing unexpected financial hardship through our Anthem Gives Program. In 2024, we expanded our impact by launching the Anthem Cares Program in partnership with Foothills Caring Corps, providing services that enhance the quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabling conditions. ACTS is led by a 12-member executive board and powered by more than 200 dedicated volunteers.

When times are tough, we help.  Since 2015, ACTS has assisted 537 families (1,857 individuals) and distributed more than $700,000 in direct financial assistance through the Anthem Gives Program.

In just its first year, the Anthem Cares Program made a meaningful difference for older neighbors—completing 920 services for 45 seniors, contributing 980 volunteer hours, and fulfilling 18 mobility requests through our Mobility Loan Closet, helping seniors remain safe, independent, and connected in their homes.
